The four star VIP Executive Entrecampos - Hotel & Conference makes for an excellent base in Lisbon.

Located in the Entrecampos district of the Portuguese capital, this fine, large and modern hotel is some distance from the historic center of town.
However, nearby Entrecampos Station is on both the Lisbon metro and on the main railway line to Sintra. Fertagus trains from the previous station, Roma Areeiro also head south to Coina and Setubal over the Tagus River.
Entrecampos is a good place to stay in the summer months when downtown Lisbon is heaving with tourists.
There are several, no frills, authentic eateries close to the hotel, which also has a decent in-house bar and restaurant. There is also a small supermarket close by on the Entrecampos roundabout.

Facilities
The rooms are spacious and come with en-suite bathrooms, Wifi, flat screen TV and fridge. A buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant on the first basement floor.
Reception staff speak English, French, Portuguese and other languages.
There is also an indoor swimming pool and Turkish bath/sauna on the 5th basement floor. This facility is open from 6 pm - 9 pm daily.

The hotel is just over 5 minutes to Entrecampos Station. The AeroBus #1 and #2 also stops at Entrecampos. *Update - the Aerobus service was suspended during the Covid-19 epidemic and has not resumed operation. Take bus 744 to the airport.
