Aeroporto Metro Station is on the Red Line of the Lisbon metro network. The station is the metro station right at Lisbon Airport. It opened in 2012. The line from Aeroporto takes you to downtown Lisbon in about 20 minutes.
A terminal station of the Linha Vermelha (Red Line), it is now fully wheelchair-friendly with lifts to and from the platforms.

Buses
As well as the metro, various buses run to and from the airport. These include Carris buses numbers 208 (Cais do Sodré - Estação Oriente), 705 (Estação Oriente - Roma-Areeiro), 722 (Praça de Londres - Portela), 744 (Marquês de Pombal - Moscavide) and 783 as well as suburban Rodoviária de Lisboa (RL) buses 312, 313, 319, 320, 321 and 329 which run on to either Campo Grande Bus Station or Areeiro Station.
The AeroBus is currently suspended post-Covid, with little sign it will ever resume operations. Check at the airport tourist office for the latest.

Art Work
Renowned Portuguese cartoonist António Antunes was commissioned to decorate the walls of the subway station. His vibrant murals feature beloved pop culture figures such as Fado singer Amália Rodrigues, football legend Eusébio, architect Pardal Monteiro, artist Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro, as well as cultural icons Almada Negreiros, Fernando Pessoa, Alexandre O'Neill, Agostinho da Silva and the Nobel Prize laureate in Literature José Saramago. These larger-than-life artworks greet visitors as they come and go at the busy station. Altogether there are 53 figures on display.
